Dedication

On Monday morning, Dinah, John, and I went to the hangar for the dedication of the two newest planes in the AIM AIR fleet. It was a happy day for our family and especially for Nathan since he did a lot of work and supervised both projects.

This was a cool picture. The light coming in the door over the airplane on the left made a cross.

Of course, Dinah and John had to try them out. They love climbing in the airplanes and looking at everything.

Amani Ya Juu Today

The men came this morning to start working on putting in a new bathtub for us. The old one had a hole in it and the landlord decided to replace it. I think it had been here for a while anyway. So, they came and told me they were going to turn off the water and make a lot of noise. I decided we should head over to Amani with Angie, Char, and Micah to get out of the house for a bit. Angie was already headed over there to help with a sewing project so the rest of us just tagged along for a fun day.

Of course, the sand was the first thing they went for.

Dinah and John found these cups in the cabinet that I let Ruth play in the other day and have been playing with them ever since. Dinah wanted to take them to Amani today so they had a great time playing in the sand with them.

Look at that tongue! :)

Thank goodness for the sand toy's Ruth got for her birthday! Thanks Kurt, Angie, and (Big)Micah, Dinah, John, and (Little)Micah enjoyed them a lot! :)

John likes to hang on the bar and swing.
They were all three climbing the rope ladder at the same time.

John has really gotten the hang of it the past few times we've been there. He really likes climbing up the ropes and then over the log.

See...he's long gone and Dinah and Micah are still climbing over. :) What a monkey!

This is Micah Sheck. He's just about 3 months older than Dinah and they enjoy playing together. The Shecks live in our estate just down the road from us.

Dinah stole John's idea and was swinging, too.

They got hot and needed a snack so they carried their raisins on the play structure and took a break. Aren't they cute?!

What great smiles!

This little stinker wouldn't give me a smile all day. She did make some funny faces as you can see in the next few pictures.

I had fed her lunch and she was sitting on the ground next to me. Next thing I know, she has pulled the bag with her bread in it out, opened it up, and is eating. What a sneaky girl!

I think this is my favorite. Those blue eyes just get me every time. What a sweet boy!

He's Famous!

My brother, Wesley, sent this pic to us yesterday. We had heard there was a new restuarant called "Culver's." Notice any similarities between the name of the restuarant and one of our children's names?

Tuesday Treats

Sunday afternoon, Nathan climbed up to our bedroom window, pulled the screen off (Kenyan windows don't have screens on them, but ours have been rigged with a frame and a screen stuck in them to help keep out the mosquitoes), and recovered part of it that had several holes in it. He knows I like to sleep with the windows open, but I've been getting eat up in the night lately because of those holes.

Nathan has done a great job rebuilding the airplanes he's been working on since we got here. I was so proud of him at the dedication. The airplanes look great and the flight yesterday went well. Great job, Honey!

He's taking the day off on Friday so we can head out of town for some family time. Yay for a long weekend!

I love you, Honey!

What has your hubbie done for you lately??

The Party

Dinah blowing out the candle for her.

She was so uninterested in the cake. I'm glad we got what little video we did of her on Friday night. As you can see in the next few pics, she was looking at everything but her cake. :)

All the kids gathered around while she attempted to open her presents. Nathan had to stand up to get some pics...until the found a toy they could take and play with. :)

Reading her card.

Trying on her new clothes. :) Told you she likes clothes.

And her new chair like her brother and sister's chairs.

More clothes.

Pastor and Sylvia came by a bit later. Dinah helped Ruth open her present.

Daddy with Judy-Hannah. What a sweet baby!

We are getting some practice in with an African baby. :)

John and Pastor wrestling.

Dinah playing with Judy-Hannah.
