Adoption Update-**Updated**

Well, there's really nothing new to update you on, but so many of you keep asking how things are going with the adoption I thought I would tell you what little we know.

Ethiopian courts are closed for August and September. Yes. Two months. Can you imagine if the courts in the US decided to close for two whole months? But TIA. So, we continue to wait for our turn to come.

In the meantime, we now have paperwork to update since we have moved. Our homestudy has to amended and we have to send more paperwork to the USCIS.

I have no idea where the referral clock on our agencies website is because for some reason our ISP won't open their webpage. But that's ok. It's not moving for 2 months. We are trying our best to be patient and totally rest in the assurance that God is in control of it all.

So, I guess that's it regarding the adoption. Happy Thursday to you all!

**UPDATE**

We received our weekly CWA newsletter this morning, and it came with some interesting news.

Referrals will continue while the courts are closed. That means that people who have already submitted their paperwork and are to the point of waiting on their child to be chosen don't have to just sit and wait idle for 2 months. It is still possible to be granted a child while waiting on the courts to reopen. However, once you have accepted your referral, you then have to wait for the courts to reopen on October 7 before the next step can happen. But still, what great news! Maybe we just didn't read some info correctly or somehow got the wrong impression! We thought it was going to add 2 months to our wait time. Praise the Lord! We've really got to get working on those amendments! That will be first thing on the agenda for next week!!
