A Big Day
Today has been declared a national holiday in Kenya so that its people are able to visit the polls and vote on the new constitution. A 'yes' vote would pass the proposed constitution, and a 'no' vote would send the proposed constitution back to the drawing board. Please pray for Kenya today and the next few days to follow. The results of the vote will be revealed on Friday. Please pray for peace between the 'yes' and 'no' parties and that the violence that erupted after the '07-'08 elections will not be repeated. We have been warned not to travel in the next few days, to stock up on food, and to have a "go bag" ready. However, we are praying our preparations are not necessary. You can read a good article on the vote here.
