Diamond Plaza

Sunday night we headed over to Diamond Plaza for some yummy Indian food. It's one of our favorite places in Nairobi to get Indian food. Kurt, Angie, and Micah went with us since they share our love for Diamond Plaza.
Traffic was terrible on the way there. It's never like this on Sunday evenings. Apparently there was some construction going on that stopped things up. Notice anything funny about this picture? Especially that white van with the yellow stripe. That's a matatu.
Yes. The matatus decided to drive up on the curb and drive down the nice, new, wide sidewalk that has just been put down.
We didn't think to get the camera out until we were having dessert. The kids love to go get these little cups of ice cream after dinner. This is about the only time they get ice cream, but boy do they enjoy it!
These next few pictures are just pictures of the shops in Diamond Plaza.
You can buy all sorts of things like knock-off Crocs, Indian clothes, groceries, electronics, pirated movies, candy, picture frames, etc. It's really an interesting place.
You can all get a tattoo, get something pierced, or buy counterfeit money!
Parking is a bit crazy, as you can see. There is just a small space for parking and sometimes you have to wait a bit for a spot. We like to go earlier so we don't have to wait so long.
The kids sat down here to finish their ice cream since the ice cream shop had gotten too crowded. This guy came out and sat down beside them and told Nathan to take his picture. It was hilarious! He told him next time we come to bring him a copy of the picture!
