You Know...

~they talk about ordering Fanta to drink, flying to Sudan, and riding a matatu when they are pretend playing.
~they call someone by "ssst-ssst"-ing them.
~they pretend they are flying to America on a regular basis.
~they know what a passport is.
~they take a shower instead of a bath because of the dirty water and the amazing amount of dirt on them.
~they sit on the couch and pretend they are driving through a game park.
~they realize traffic lights should not be in roundabouts.
~they look for cows, goats, sheep, or camels on the side of the road wherever we go.
~they really like Ethiopian food.
~they know Mommy and Daddy drive on the right hand side of the car and the left hand side of the road.
~they are used to homemade snacks instead of store bought ones.
~they are constantly picking their noises because of the dryness, dust, and pollution.
