Wheat Crackers
3 c. white flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. margarine or lard-margarine combination
1 egg
milk
Combine first 4 ingredients in bowl. Cut in margarine. Beat egg lightly and add enough milk to make 1 cup liquid. Mix to form a ball. Knead lightly, about 20 strokes. Preheat oven to 425. Divide dough into 4 parts, roll out thinly on floured board and place on greased cookie sheets. Cut with pie crimper or pizza cutter to desired cracker size. Prick dough all over. Sprinkle generously with salt. Bake 7-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Store in airtight container.
