Tuesday Treats

I'm the kind of girl who likes to make the bed every morning. One morning last week, I came downstairs without making the bed. I just figured I would make it when I took the kids upstairs to get dressed. When we got upstairs, later that morning, the bed was already made! What a nice surprise that made me smile!

Last week, I made bread while wearing my wedding rings. I got dough all in my diamond and all around it. They sat there for several days before I put them in water to soften up. I later found my rings all nice and sparkly once again. Thanks Honey!

I'm so thankful my Hubby works so hard so I can stay home with our babies. It's such a wonderful pleasure (most of the time) to be able to stay with them all day and watch them grow and learn. I'm a blessed mama for sure!

I love you, Nathan!!

Splash, Part 1

So, here is part 1 of our pictures today. I have lots more loaded onto blogger, but for some reason, it's not letting me put them on the blog. Anyway...yesterday Angie asked me if I wanted to take the kids to Splash one day this week. It's a local water park that is just down the road from the hangar where Nathan works. I said sure, knowing the kids would love it. We went around 11:30 this morning and had a blast! It took the kids a little bit to get used to it, but after that, they were all over the place. The kiddie pool was really big and Ruth could even walk around in it if she held someone's hand. They had 3 slides for them, too, and they weren't very fast. By the end, Dinah and John were going down by themselves. And Ruth even went down with Micah. I'm sure we'll be going back and taking Daddy, too!

Prayer and Praise

Prayer~

Dinah has a possible urinary track infection. We are dropping a specimen off in the morning to have it checked. She seemed to be better today than she has the past couple of days though.

Nathan's Grandpa is in the hospital right now. He fell in the snow and hurt his leg. Please pray for healing for him.

Pray for our safety on the roads while we travel this weekend. Lots of people will be on the roads because of the holiday.

Praise~

We are headed out of town this weekend! We are excited to get away for a few days out of the city and enjoy some time as a family as we celebrate our risen Lord.

It continues to rain almost every night! Praise the Lord!

Have You Ever Seen a Cuter...

18 month old?
Okay, so maybe we are a little biased regarding the cuteness of our kids. :) But wow, does this one have a personality all her own. And I just fall in love with those little curls growing on the back of her head every time I look at them.
We are privileged to call her ours. What a sweet blessing she's been to our family for the last 18 months! We love you, Baby Ruth!

Wordless Wednesday

The Best Present!

Earlier this week, I got a birthday card in the mail from my little brother, Nathan. It was a sweet "30th Birthday" card, and it had $30 in it! I started thinking about things I have been eyeing at the masaai market. I had heard prices from friends for these big tall giraffes and I thought I might could get one with my birthday money. Today at the market, I saw this one and offered the amount I was willing to pay. They didn't like my offer so I walked away a couple of times. They finally came down to my price and I came home with this awesome giraffe!!  Thanks, Nathan! I love it! And you, too, of course! :)
BTW, he's about 5 feet tall!
