Heavy Hearts

There is a compilation of Ethiopian adoption blogs on a website that lists everyone by their adoption agency. It's been fun to follow some fellow CWA adoption families through this website. Tonight I went to check to see if anyone had any new news. There was a family who is traveling tomorrow for their court date with a post entitled "not good." I figured maybe they were sick since that's one of the things they had requested prayer for. Oh no. It's worse than "not good."

It seems Ethiopia is planning to cut adoptions by 90%! This includes adoptions already in the process. You can go here to read the entire article.

Would you please join us in praying this doesn't affect our adoption??

    It's Amanda McAlpine. So glad to connect with you. I look forward to looking over your blog! CWA hasn't said much- I bet we'll all being hearing from them early this week. I saw the article on google. I guess the news has been on local news stations as well but we don't have a TV so I haven't seen it. We are still traveling and I think we (and you guys) might be in the best possible position considering the bad news. Hopefully if our cases don't pass on March 11th- they'll pass soon after is our prayer. If that article is all true and all goes through, I think the people who will be most affected are people who are behind us in process.
