This is one of the first pictures we saw of Ezra. Look at all his hair! I didn't realize it until we got home, but I think they cut it off! I can't wait for his curls to start growing again!
Well, I suppose there's not a whole to update you on regarding the adoption. We have no new news. Right now we are waiting on all our documents to be prepared and sent to the US Embassy in Addis Ababa. They say it takes 4-5 weeks to get the documents ready. We're not sure how/if the US government shutdown tomorrow will affect us. We're praying it doesn't have any affect. From what we've read, nothing mentions the Embassy's closing. After our paperwork is submitted to the Embassy, we wait for clearance. Then we can pick 3 dates and the Embassy approves one of them. Obviously, we want to be ready to go, so we can travel ASAP after we get that clearance. My days are filled with organizing our home for us to leave it for 2 months, packing what I can, and keeping up with normal household things.
Honestly, I think this might be the hardest waiting stage we've had yet. All the other months of waiting, we had no idea who our son was, how perfect he feels in our arms, what beautiful big brown eyes he has, or what a cuddler he is! We are SO ready to get back and pick him up!
