Operation Christmas Child Distribution

Two weeks ago, we loaded up in our 10 passenger van with a bunch of food and a cooker, and headed out to Narok to Cheryl's Orphanage to do an Operation Christmas Child distribution. Rosemary, the lady who runs the orphanage, arranged to get the boxes and the children in the community to come to the orphanage. It had started raining Thursday night and it was C.R.A.Z.Y. trying to get out the dirt road to the orphanage! But we finally made it.
The children from the community were waiting in this room.
Here are the children from the orphanage.
Then they lined them up in smallest to biggest and boys and girls so we could pass out the boxes.
Rosemary and Nana.
Girl boxes for ages 10-14.

And here we go...
Dinah found this box that was the Disney princesses and wanted to hand it out.
Our kids really enjoy giving out shoeboxes!
Poppy handing out a box.
And Dinah.
Uncle Todd helping John.
Daddy getting in on the action.
It's such a joy to see the smiles on the children's faces.

And Nana's turn.
Uncle Todd and Auntie Beth.
A group pic after we gave out the boxes.
The kids with their boxes.
The whole group.
So happy with their boxes!

More to come...
