We are still waiting on his birth certificate from the Office of Vital Statistics. Apparently this is a new hold up in the adoption process. Our case worker told us last night that this is usually not a problem. It's usually the MOWCY letter that takes so long. And it's not just our case; it's all cases. So, the wait continues.
In other news, Nathan has been in touch with the USCIS office at the Embassy here about getting our fingerprints redone since they expire the end of June. We were really hoping we wouldn't have to worry about them, and we are still hoping we won't have to worry about it. But we just want to be sure they don't expire. So, the lady at the USCIS office is working on it, and is going to get back in touch with us.
I suppose that's the most of our news on the adoption for today. We are still working toward leaving ASAP whenever they say we're cleared. We have 2 action packers filled and will throw our clothes in a few more when it's time to leave.
Happy Thursday!
